Sir John Randles Arrives on Health Visit CAREER IN POLITICS Prominent British ironmaster and for 20 years a member of the House of Commons, Sir John Randles, Kt., accompanied by Lady Randles, arrived at Wellington yesterday on a health trip to the Dominion by the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera from London. Sir John has been to New Zealand twice before, the last occasion being four years ago. This time he will spend his holiday chiefly at Rotorua. He was Conservative member for the Cockermouth Division of Cumberland from 1900 to 1906 and from 1906 to 1910, aud Unionist member for NorthWest (now Exchange Division) Manchester, 1912-1922. He is honorary president of the International Parliamentary Commercial Conference, deputy-chairman of the Star Board (Eagle, Star, and British Dominions Insurance Co., Ltd.). His honours include that of Commander of the Order of the, Crown of Belgium aud the Order of the Rising Sun (Japan).
