Citizens’ Day Nursery Lady Luke, being absent thiougli illness, Lady Gray presided at the opening meeting of the New Year of the committee of the Citizens’ Day Nursery. Feeling reference was made to the great loss suffered by the society in the death of Mrs. Murphy, M.8.E., one of the foundation members, and a loyal and generous friend. Lady Luke, having been taken ill while on holiday, pleasure was expressed at her recovery and safe return. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on Monday, February 11. Lady Gray and Mrs. Firth were appointed visitors for the coming month. Gifts are gratefully acknowledged from the following:—N.Z.
