Trinidad in their first innings made 371 for seven wickets, declared (Roach 28, Maynard, not out, 200. Merry 31, R Grant 37). England (first innings, 348) in their second innings lost one wicket for 11. Maynards a young schoolmaster, is making his first appearance in big cricket. He batted 5J hours, defying seven bowlers, with forceful on-side shots. He hit 30 boundaries.
