SOMETHING NEW. Colour in Kitchenware. tThe day when woman was content to confine her liking for colour in her clothes is now past and present-day women are more than conscious of the value of colour in the home. It has long been recognised that the average woman absolutely outclasses the average man in a knowledge of colour, and there is no doubt that now her eyes have been opened to colour, the homes of the future will be increasingly beautiful. Kitchens in particular, where- the average woman spends most of her day, have felt the increasing trend toward colour. And where once we found nondescript colours, if any at all, is now brilliantly arrayed in delightful shades —uncommon at times, but always perfectly harmonious. In keeping with the scheme of things:, Messrs. Maling, of Newcastle-. on-Tyne, have designed a particular line of coloured Kitchenware called “Cobble Stone” —the name being chosen from the cobble-stone effect of the design. This ware creates the impression of daintiness —which is rather uncommon in such utensils—and rather belies its sturdy qualities. The prices, too, are equally attractive. Cup and Saucer, 1/6; Plates, 1/-, 1/3, and 1/6. Pudding Basins from 1/-, Jugs from 1/6, Lettered Canisters from 2/3, and Graduated Measure Jugs from 3/6. This Ware is now on display for your inspection at the CHINA DEPARTMENT. 'KIRKCALDIE & STAINS, LTD. PUBLIC NOTICES. AUSTRALIAN MUTUAL PROVIDENT SOCIETY..
