VAN DYKE has been assigned * the direction of “Naughty Marietta,” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s film ver- \ sion of Victor Herbert’s famous operetta, with Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy in the leading roles. With such hits as “I’m Falling in Love with Someone” and “Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life” among its song numbers, the vivid drama of Louisiana in the ovi days is to be given a lavish production. Frank Morgan has been assigned the character comedy role of the Governor of Louisiana.
