The Australian Graziers’ Federal Council has decided to ask the Commonwealth Government to amend the Industries Preservation Act. in order to permit open competition in the transport of wool and meat overseas. The council points out that the overseas Transport Association, which is allied to the Overseas Shipping Representatives’ Association, had power to make freight agreements, and that the request for "freight reductions made some months ago had been ignored by the Shipowners Council; therefore the Graziers’ Association asks for the abolition of the Overseas Transport Association.
