CAUGHT IN PACK ICE?

Location of Wyatt Earp UNCONFIRMED RUMOUR By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Dunedin, January 17. The latest and most alarming rumour '■ concerning the Ellsworth Expedition is that the Wyatt Earp is caught in the pack-ice. The rumour is unconfirmed, as the Dunedin agents have had no communication since the ship sailed hi September, but the continued silence and long postponement of the flight lend some credence to the report, which comes from a quarter to which some authority attaches.

The vessel’s location is unknown, but from Christmas greetings re<eived it is assured that she is in the Weddell Sea and not the Bellingshausen Sea, for which she headed early in December.
