METHODIST CIRCUIT
Wellington East Meeting The quarterly meeting of the Wellington Hast Methodist Circuit was held on Monday evening in the Maranui church, the Rev. F. E. Leadley presiding over a good attendance. The number of members was reported as 315. A satisfactory balance-sheet was presented and adopted. Reports’ on youth work were generally satisfactory, but leaders for Bible class work were needed in some places. Reports on foreign mission work showed that £ll6 had been raised during the year. The Homo Mission secretary reported that £6O had been raised for home missions. Reports on Synod were given by the representatives. Mr. Burgogne-Thoinas, having passed the necessary examinations, was received as a fully-accredited local preacher. Mr. R. Hardie Boys, a local preacher, was received on transfer from Taranaki Street circuit. Messrs. It. Hampton, T. Hinde and N. A. Hunt were elected to represent the circuit on the district executive. Mr. R. Hampton was elected to represent the circuit, at conference. Messrs. R. Hamptcn and W. W. Moxham were re-elected circuit stewards. Letters of sympathy were directed to be forwarded to several members who had suffered bereavement and sickness during the quarter. it was decided to request the leaders meeting in each church to submit a report on. the work of the church to the next quarterly meeting.
