CROQUET TOURNEY
Gold and Silver Mallets The tournament for the gold and silver mallets will be officially opened by Mrs. W. S. Austin, vice-president of the New Zealand Croquet Council, on the Kelburn Croquet Club’s lawns to-morrow (Thursday). There are 28 entries for the event, which necessitates it being played in two sections, A and B, the winners and runners-up in each section to play- off for the final. All competitors are requested to report at Kelburn headquarters at 9 o’clock sharp on Thursday morning, as play will commence immediately after tiie opening. The following are the sections as drawn:— A Section. —Mesdames Greig. Ross, Richardson. Kirk, Bush, Morgan, Lowery, Acheson, Frost, Cleland, Roit’e, Morton, Burd. Brice.' B Section.—Mesdames Chetwiu, Mount, Walker, Sargisson, Henderson, Higgins, Small. Flint, Woodley, Gardner Manton, Page, Hogan and Mr. Bryan. The lawns to be used for play are: Kelburn, Wellington, Mount Victoria, Island Bay and Karorl.
