JUDGES APPOINTED

National Eisteddfod

The appointment of some of the judges for the National Eisteddfod to be held in' Wellington iu May have been announced. Mr. J. B. Lester, of the staff of Canterbury College, has been appointed judge of elocution. This gentleman has had a groat deal of experience in the South Island, where his work is regarded as up to the highest standard. Another appointment is that of Miss Mavis Burgoyne, of Greymouth, who is to judge the dancing. The appointments of Mr. Wentworth Slater, of Wanganui, and Mr. Claude Haydon, of Lower Hutt, as judges of music have already been made. There will be 250 classes altogether in the Eisteddfod. It is anticipated that the syllabus will be available at the end of the month.
