YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Warm and Sultry in Wellington
It was a warm, sultry day in Wellington yesterday, with considerable passing- cloud, mid a fresh northerly wind. The temperature at Koiburn observatory at 4 p.m. was 70.3 degrees ami the maximum was 75.7 degrees. Bright sunshine prevailed at Masterton throiifffiout the day, while there was a moderate south-westerly wind. The weather was hot and sunny at Palmerston North with scattered clouds. Fine weather with a moderate northeast, wind prevailed again at Auckland. The barometer was steady all day at 30.20iu. Another very warm day was experienced in Central Hawke’s Bay. The maximum temperature was 85 degrees. Tlie weather was line and sunny at Christchurch. The temperature rose suddenly soon after noon, when. the wind changed from east to north-west, and reached 88 degrees. There was a continuation of warm summer weather at Dunedin with bright sunshine in Hie morning and cloudy conditions in the afternoon. A light northerly breeze was blowing, and the maximum temperature was 84 degrees.
