OBITUARY

Mr. J. F. Rudd Tlie death is announced of Mr. James F. Rudd at Springlands, states a Press Association message from Blenheim. The late Mr. Rudd was born in 1856 in Yorkshire, England, and arrived at Lyttelton in 1866 in the ship Victory. He was the first scholar at the Greendale School, Canterbury. In 1912 Mr. Rudd purchased Summerlands, Marlborough, and for the last ten years had lived a retired life at Springlands. He leaves four sons and six daughters.
