FOUND IN RIVER

O, Body of Unidentified Man Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, January 14. The body of an unidentified man was found caught against a snag in the Manawatu River downstream from ttie new Fitzherbert traffic bridge by a workman on the structure this morning. The body appears to be that of a man from sft. Sin. to sft. 9in. in height, middle-aged and of a substantial build. The body was dressed in a suit of grey worsted with a shading of violet running through it. The shirt is light in colour, and has a green herringbone pattern. When found the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
