YOUTH GROUP MEETS
League of Nations Union London, January 13. A Melbourne resident, Miss Meredith Ross, was one of 150 delegates representing 15,000 members, attending the national conference of the Youth Group of the League of Nations Union at Bristol. The vice-presidents elected included: Messrs. “Bunny” Austin, R. H. Bernays, M.P., Beverley Nicholls, Dr. Cove-Smith, General Smuts, Miss Vera Brittain, Miss Megan Lloyd George, Miss Dorothy Round, and Mr. Anthony Eden, but Canon Dick Sheppard and Mr. A. A. Milne were rejected on the ground of age. The conference resolved in favour 'of buying only newspapers supporting tlie League policy.
