DISCIPLES OF YOGA

Many Reported to be Over 200 Years Old Ottawa, December 17. “In Tibet we met 260 Yoga philosophers each more than 200 years old.” This statement created widespread interest here when it was made by Mokam Singh and Pandit Panna Singh, two disciples of Yoga, who passed through Canada on a world tour. The two turbauned globe-trotters began their journey from Amritsar (India) and have already visited the Far East, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. They are making their way leisurely to Europe before returning to India. The object of their trip is simply “to make friends.” They called on many prominent people in Ottawa. Yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Hindu philosophy. It teaches self-concentration and suitpression of self-indulgence, and, according to the two Indians, is conducive to old age it’ practised properly.—Reuters.
