Government Fixes Price of Sydney’s Bread Sydney, January 12. Tiie executive of (lie Master Bakers’ Association rejected the Government’s proposal to cancel the increased price of bread. The Executive Council thereupon issued a proclamation, fixing the price over the eountey at 41d. a loaf. Tiie Government proposes to set up a tribunal to inquire into the question of prices. It is officially announced that the master bakers would observe the law and advise their members to revert to tiie old prices.
