'rhe'22o yards international invitation backstroke scratch race was easily won by Kiyokawa in the Australian record time of 2.41. Great interest was taken in the appearance of "Boy” Charlton in the 440 yards inter-club handicap Chariton, who recently resumed training after his retirement, brilliantly won the event, in which he conceded 28 seconds to some of the competitors.
