Ministerial. The Rt. Hon. J. G. CoatesAMinister of Finance, i.s due in Wellington this morning by the Limited express from Auckland. He will leave to-morrow evening for Dunedin. Mr. Justice C. R. Lowe, of Sydney, arrived by the Mariposa at. Auckland on Saturday. He will make a holiday tour of the Dominion. Dr. L. D. Cohen has returned to Wellington from Taupo. Captain AV. Olphert returned to AVellington yesterday from a visit to Auckland. Air. C. J. McKenzie, Engineer-in-Chief of the Public Works Department, is visiting Dunedin. • Mr. C. AV. Bear, of Hataitai, and Mr. A. L. Swan, of Dunedin, returned to Wellington on Saturday from a visit to the Taranaki district. Mr. F. AV. Alothes, New Zealand manager for the Goldberg Advertising Agency, returned to Auckland from Australia by the Mariposa on Saturday. Air. Hugh A. A, Baird, eldest son of Air. and Airs. Hugh AV. C. Baird, York Street, Hastings, has been successful in passing his final examination qualifying him as a chartered accountant of London. Air. Leo du Chateau is making the advance arrangements for the season in AVellington of Mr. Frank Neil’s International Variety Revue Company, which is to commence a season at the Grand Opera House on Saturday next. Air. James Bee, the retiring principal of Scots College, Sydney, was a mathematics and science master at AA’ellington College for 18 years. He later served seven years as headmaster of the Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Alelbourne, and in 1915 took up the position of principal of Scots College, Sydney. His successor is Mr. A. K. Anderson, formerly headmaster of St. Andrew’s College, Christchurch.
