Japan to Mandated Islands

Tokio, January 11
The air section of the Communications Ministry announces that preparations are practically completed for an aeroplane service from Japan to the mandated islands, which is expected to start in the summer.
Half-a-dozen Japanese-built eight; seaters will run twice monthly from Tokio via Hachijojima, Chichijima, Sarpan and Yap to Parao, in 28 hours. The first trips will lie devoted to mails and parcels, and later passengers will be carried.
