Vicious Alsatians

Sir, —“Bite Again” expresses sympathy with the Alsatian dog that was fortunately destroyed for making a vicious attack on a woman. It will be generally agreed that fair-minded controversialists ask nothing more than to be confronted with facts. Perhaps it may be of interest to “Bite Again” to read Hie following from an English newspaper, dated December 1, 1934: "Two Alsatian dogs attacked two persons in Church Street, Northenden, this week. This brings the number of people attacked by Alsatians in Manchester during the past six months to over a dozen.”

Unquestionably, Alsatian dogs are both useless and dangerous and should all be destroyed. The writer also advocates a higher registration fee for dogs kept in urban areas, and also a registration fee for cats, to check the ever-increasing number that make the night hideous. —I am, etc., FACTS.
