Current quotations: Good mutton. 22/- to 22/6 per cwt. ; good beef, 22/6 to | 23/-: good mixed. 22/- to 22/6; gut, 19/to 20/6. British Stocks Firm (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, January 8. British Government stocks were in strong demand to-day. War Loan 31 per cent, touched £llO. and cloved at £lt)9 17/6. Coneols, 2* per cent., were 10/- up it £93/10/-, and others also rose substantially.
