YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS
The Wellington stock and share market yesterday was firm and active, 17 sales, including those late on Wednesday, recorded. Government loans were actively traded, seven parcels changing hands, with few sellers left in the market. Banks were firm, New Zealands selling at 49/’. There was a sale of Goldsbrough Mort late on Wednesday at 30/"> while New Zealand Refrigerating. 10/- paid, were done at 10/3, with sellers asking 10/5. New Zealand Breweries were soli late on Wednesday at 52/6 and 52/7. and yesterday at 52/6, with late buyers offering 52/4, and sellers asking t>3/6. in tne mining section. Big Rivers were done at 2/10, and Waihis were wanted at -W»> with no sellers. The latest buying and selling flotations on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday were as follow:
