Expenditure Up; Revenue Down (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, January 8. Exchequer returns for the past week show that during the current financial year the total ordinary revenue, exclusive of self-balancing revenue, amounted at January 5 to £430,667,802, which is £6,451,568 less than tlie amount collected at the corresponding date of hist. year. Tlie expenditure for the same period, exclusive of self-balancing items, was £544,838.030, which exceeds tlie amount expended at the corresponding date of last year by £10,842,330.
