Saturday Night’s Meeting An entertaining programme is to be offered Wellington followers of athletics and all others who enjoy amateur sport, at the first electric light meeting of the season, in Wellington, on Saturday, at the Basin Reserve. It will include :1 triangular contest between teams representing the Wellington, Kiwi and Wanganui dubs, and three invitation match cycle races, in which F. J. Grose, of Canterbury. and New Zealand representative at the British Empire Games, will ride. About 20 athletes will come to. Welligton from Wanganui for the meeting, and in addition to the contest between the three clubs, there are to be a series of open handicap events, which have attracted Wellington athletes. Miss T. Kench. New Zealand representative at the 11)32 Olympic Games, will be among.the women appearing. .The cycling, which is to bo a feature, of this meeting, will allow Wellington spectators to see three visiting riders in addition to Grose —J. Wade and C. Hansen. <>f Wanganui, and T. McCord, of Wairarapa. Each has a fine . record.
