DOMINION PORTS

Revision of Harbour Regulations BIG TASK COMPLETED The consolidation and revision of the General Harbour Regulations has now been completed by the Marino Department. The Minister of Marine, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, stated yesterday that it was hoped to have the new regulations ready for submission to the Execuive Council at its next meeting and when approved they would be promptly gazetted. It could not be ascertained yesterday what new matter would appear in the consolidated regulations, but -it was clear that the work of revising and bringing up to date the old regulations passed from time to time over many years was no small undertaking. As the regulations affect, no doubt, all the ports of the Dominion the different harbour boards will be glad to have them in grouped and more handy form than they are at present for reference.
