Appointment of Manager

Mr. H. L. Towers, secretary of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre, has been appointed manager of the Dominion athletic team, which is to compete at the Centenary Games at Melbourne. Mr. Towers has rendered signal service to the cause of amateur athletics in the northern city over a long, period of years, as prior to taking over the secretaryship of the Auckland Centre he was secretary of the Auckland Secondary Schools’ Athletic Association.

The New Zealand team will leave for Melbourne by the Wanganella on January 17.
