Bridegroom’s Absence Explained

Stratford, January 9.
Stanley Thomas Newlands, the missing bridegroom, has returned home. He is stated to have been suffering from loss of memory. Newlands, who is 22 years of age, disappeared on Wednesday last, from Midhirst while guests were waiting at the Stratford Presbyterian Church for his wedding ceremony, timed to fake place at 11 o’clock. An hour before that ho could not be found, and a car was found abandoned in the Beaconsfield 'Road. After breakfast. Newlands drove to Midhirst, where he remained for an hour, but after leaving the village all trace of him was! lost. The police were informed, and a thorough search made, without result. Several guests meanwhile arrived at the church, but the bride did not leave home. The minister. the Rev. .1. McGregor, on learning the bridegroom was missing, telephoned her. suggesting that the wedding be delayed an hour. Later, the guests went home.
