Death of Von Schleichers
Berlin, January 7. The investigation of the assassination of General von Schleicher and his wife will be opened fitter the Saar plebiscite. - Many German patriots considered it scandalous that a Prussian' general should be shot dead out of hand, together with his wife, without a protest from the leaders of the Reichswehr. BEING REORGANISED Hitler’s Black Guards . Berlin, January 7. Herr Hitler is secretly reorganising his Black Guards and forming 20,000 into a heavily-armed regiment with a base at Munich, where extensive mechanised manoeuvres are being carried out. Herr Hitler’s bodyguard of 3000 remains unaltered. The remainder of the Black Guards hiay be drafted into the army and secret police. The new regiment is for internal use only.
