Ryan, the prominent financier, retiring, Mr. Pierpont Morgan and his associates have acquired control of the Alorton Trust and the Fifth Avenue Banking Companies, which lie consolidated with the Guaranty Company of New York. Mr. Morgan intends the merger likewise to include the Bankers' Trust Company, thus forming the largest trust company in America. The American press is discussing Mr. Morgan’s stupendous control of capital, which they declare has now reached a total of £.600,000,000.
