WATER POLO
Yesterday’s Matches Championship water polo matches were continued at.Te Aro baths yesterday afternoon, the standard in both games being only fair, and at times the play slow. In the.senior grade Maranui defeated Varsity by 3 goals to 2. For the winners, D. Plank (2) and 0. Claridge scored the goals, while for Varsity, Doyle and Bradshaw were the goalgetters. Mr. A. A. Somerville was the referee. In the second grade match between ‘Maranui B and Y.M.C.A., the former won by 3 goals, scored by East (2) and Burns, to nil. Mr. V. Allen was the referee.
