LONDON’S SHIPPING* During the week ended November 16. 1043 vessels, representing 1,073.0-0 net register tons, used the Port of London; dim vessels (846,531 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign P°rts» and 538 vessels (226,989 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included nine meat cargoes, viz.., three from Australia, two from New Zealand, two from South America and two from North America, comprising 252.009 carcases of lamb and mutton, 59.000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries. DEVON’S NEW OWNERS. The steamer Devon, which has made manv voyages to New Zealand, has been sold’ bv the Federal Steam Navigation Conipariv to the British India Steam Navigation Company. She is now en route from England to Australia under her new owners, her hull and funnels having been iiainted in conformity with the other vessels of the British India Company. Under the Federal Line the Devon was a training ship for cadets, and she Is still used as a training ship. She now carries 39 cadets. The ship’s complement is almost entirely from the British India Company ■ cadet steamer Nerbudda. which is now laid up at Falmouth.
