Lord Bledisloe to Speak

at Oxford

ADDRESS ON NEW ZEALAND Among eminent persons who will be speakers at the third Empire Summer School (organised by the Royal Empire Society) at Oxford from July 13 to July 27, w’ill be Lord Bledisloe. He will have returned to the Old Country a few weeks before the camp opens, and has consented to contribute to the syllabus in company with other notable speakers. The society, in announcing its syllabus, stated recently in its official organ: “Lord Bledisloe will speak on New Zealand, following his most distinguished, term as Governor-General.” Others who will deliver addresses will be Sir Walter Lawrence, Bt., who will speak on “The King,” Sir Kingsley Wood, Postmaster-General, whose subject will be “Imperial Communications,’’ and Sir Alan Anderson, chairman of the Orient Line, who will lecture on “’The Mercantile Marine.” Many other topics of Empire importance will be dealt with by persons of outstanding qualification in their several departments.
