Police Disperse Mob With Batons FREE FIGHT OUTSIDE HOTEL By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received January 6, 6.30 i>.m.) Sydney, January C. A violent brawl occurred last night at the suburb of Waterloo in which six men and one woman were injured. Sidney Laws, aged 52. had his skull fractured. A free fight occurred outside an hotel and attracted a crowd of 500. Police arrested two men, but were obliged to take refuge with their prisoners in the local stadium, locking the door behind them. Police reinforcements arrived and found men struggling on the ground with onlookers kicking them unmercifully. Police,“in their own interests, drew their batons and soon dispersed the shrieking and hooting mob and conveyed the injured to hospital.
