Miss Thelma Major, Gisborne, is visiting Masterton.

Mrs. B. Kingdon, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Marton.

Captain and Mrs. L. Vaughan Morgan are visiting the Franz Joseph Glacier.

Misses Mary and Patricia White, Wellington, are the guests of the Misses Ramsay, Dunedin. Mrs. N. McNair Thomson, Levin, has been playing in the 'Wanganui lawn tennis championships.

Mrs. J. A. Young and Miss Young have returned to Wellington after visiting Auckland and the Chateau. Mr. and Mrs. E. M, Hodder and family, Lansdowne, Masterton, are spending a holiday at Paraparaumu. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Sellar and Miss Molly Sellar, Masterton, are visiting Auckland.

Mrs. D. Ogilvie, Wellington, is staying with Mrs., M. R. Johnstone, Upper Plain, Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Gill and the Misses Gill, Masterton, have returned from a visit to New Plymouth.

Miss Joy Burt, Wellington, is the guest of Miss Sybil Douglass, at Karltane Beach, Dunedin. Mr. and Mrs. H. Neale were recent Wellington guests at the White Star Hotel, Queenstown. Mr. and Mrs. Spense Lyons have returned to Wanganui from a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Lyons, Stratford. Mrs. E. W, de Lisle and Miss Joy da Lisle. Christchurch, are visiting Masterton.

Mrs. L. Travers, Christchurch, and formerly of Masterton, is visiting Masterton.

The Misses McMaster who have been in Wellington for the holidays have returned to Koraha.

Miss Doris Howe, Brougham Street, ■Wellington, is at present at Palmerston North for the Manawatu lawn tennis championships. Miss Margaret Iggulden, Auckland, and'Miss Mary Illingsworth, Taranaki, are staying with Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Taylor, Masterton. Mrs. E. J. Bassett, Masterton, is to leave shortly for Melbourne, where she is to join the New Zealand women’s representative croquet team. Miss Dorothy P. Wells, Croydon School, spent the New Year in Hawke’s Bjy, and is now staying with her brother at Gisborne. Mrs. Ronald Hetrick, who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Duncan at “Otairl,” Hunterville, has returned to Wanganui. Mrs. Geoffrey Elkington who, with her son, Lieutenant Peter Williams, has been visiting Miss Hilda Williams, “Westmore,” Christchurch West, has returned to Masterton. Madame Betts-Vincent, A.R.A.M., who spent the Christmas and New Year holidays at Waikanae, has arrived at Wellington, and is staying at Sayes Court. The Rev. D. B. Malcolm and Mrs. Malcolm, left Wanganui at the weekend for Hawera, where Mr. Malcolm has been appointed to St. Mary’s Parish. The Rev. M. Solomon and Mrs. Soloman, Manaia, have taken up their residence at Wanganui. Mr. Solomon has been appointed to St. Peter's Church, Gonville. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jackson, Carterton, and their two children, have returned from Napier, and are now staying at the Marine Kiosk, Eastbourne.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Harris, Invercargill, are on a caravan tour to Tauranga. Miss Kathleen Haire, Hobson Street, joined them at Wellington, and will accompany them as far as Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clifford and Miss Rosamond Clifford, Market Drayton, England, will spend a few days as the guests of Lady Clifford Fendalton, Christchurch, before leaving New Zealand by the Rangitata on January 15 on their return home.

Sir John Randles and Lady Randles (Bristowe Hill, Keswick), are passengers for New Zealand by the Remuera, which left London on December 13. Sir John Randles is an ironmaster and is honorary president of the International Parliamentary Commercial Conference.

Among visitors at Sayes Court are Captain and Mrs. Edney, London; Dr. Scott, Christchurch; Mr. and Mrs. Bramwell, Hawera; Mrs. Betts-Vincent, Wanganui; Mrs. Rhodes, Palmerston North; Miss Tait, Sydney; Mrs. and Miss Horton, Greytown; Miss Bird, Dunedin; and Mrs. Collison, Napier.
