Union Cargo Service The following are the movements of Union Company vessels emgaged in its intercolonial cargo .service :— The Gabriella, from Newcastle and Sydney, left Wellington on Saturday for Napier and Auckland, thence to Greymoutli to load for Sydney. The Kalmiro, from Wellington, is due at Newcastle to-morrow. She is to load there and completes at Port Kembla for Wellington and Miramar. The Kalingo, from Adelaide, Edlthburg and Melbourne, via Auckland, arrived at Wellington yesterday and berthed at No. 1 north Queen’s Wharf. She is to leave here again to-day for Dunedin to complete discharge, thence to Newcastle and. Sydney to load for Auckland. The Ngakuta Is to load at Newcastle about January 15, and completes at Sydney for Wellington and Napier. The Omana is to leave Westport about Wednesday for Melbourne, thence to Edithburg, Adelaide and Melbourne to load for New Plymouth, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. The Poolta, from Newcastle and Sydney, was to have left Bluff on Saturday for Dunedin, Lyttelton and Auckland to complete discharge. The Waikouaiti, from Bluff, is due at Sydney to-morrow. She will then load at Newcastle, and completes at Sydney for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton and Oamaru. The Watpahi, from Sydney, via FIJI, is due at Auckland to-morrow morning. She is to leave there again later the same day for Newcastle and Sydney to load again for Fiji and Auckland. The Waitaki, from southern ports, Is due at Wellington next Friday, and proceeds on to Auckland, thence to Sydney to dock. The vessel will then load at Newcastle, Sydney and Hobart for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. AKAROA IN PORT. To complete discharge of her London cargo, the Shaw, Savill liner Akaroa arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Auckland and berthed at tho Pipitea Wharf. She Is to leave here again on Wednesday for Port Chalmers to commence her Homeward loading. NORTHUMBERLAND LEAVES CURACAO Caibled advice has been received by the Federal Company that the Northumberland, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, cleared Curacao on January 2. She is due at Auckland on January 24. MATIAROA SAILS. . Having completed her Homeward loading, the Shaw, Savill liner Mataroa left Lyttelton on Saturday for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. PORT ALMA LOADING. From Brisbane, the C. & D. Line motorship Port Alma reached Lyttelton yesterday to commence her Homeward loading. She Is due at Wellington next Thursday for further loading, and later completes at Opua, Auckland and Napier, clearing the last-named port finally on January 29 for London, via Cape Horn and Dakar. THE KEIFUKU MARU. Kempthorne, Prosser and Co. advise that the Japanese steamer Keifuku Maru will now reach Auckland on January 10. The vessel left Japan on December 12 and was originally due at Auckland to-day. KA RAMEA’S ■MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill motor-ship Karamca is now to leave Wellington on Wednesday for Picton to continue her Homeward loading. She later completes at Gisborne, Waikokopu and Napier, and is to clear the last-named port finally on January 27 for London, via the Panama Canal. KAN'NA TO LOAD GUANO. The Union Company’s Kanna is to leave Wellington to-day for Greymoutli and Westport to load’for Auckland. She will then proceed to Noumea and Walpole Island to load guano for Wanganui and Auckland. LYTTELTON TIME SIGNALS. The Marine Department has been advised by the Lyttelton Harbour Board that the Lyttelton time ball signals have been discontinued. VESSEL IN DISTRESS. The Direetor-Goncral of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following advice from Awnrna radio:— Following broadcast to CQ by Melbourne "radio at 1.18 a.m. and 4.33 a.m. Sunday:—Ship in distress off Barwon Hoads, no information to hand. Lifeboat left Quccnscliff at 7 p.nn. to her assistance.
