NEW YEAR GREETINGS

King George and Herr Hitler London, January 3. The text of his Majesty’s and Herr Hitler's New Year greetings is published. His Majesty telegraphed:— ■ “On the occasion of the New Year, Mr. Chancellor. I ask you to accept my good wishe? for your health and welfare and for the prosperity of the German Reich. George. Rex and Imperator.” Herr Hitler telegraphed to the King as follows:—

"His Majesty the King. London: Your Majesty. I beg you on the occasion of the New Year to accept my warmest wishes for yourself and Royal Family and associate therewith my sincere wishes for tlie future prosperity of the British Empire.”
