Commenting on the reported shortage of canned fruits in northern centres the manager of a local factory stated that, while recent sales had been exceptionally heavy owing to the (ine weather; the supply was by no means exhausted. Good stocks, both of apricots and pears, were still on hand, although JJnxse should -now be in process of absorption in view of the fact that the new season’s packings would shortly lie on the market.
