Golf at Heretaunga
CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIPS
The outstanding event to-day will be the exhibition golf match between the visiting British amateur golfers and a team representing the New'Zealand Golf Association on the Wellington Golf Club’s links at Heretaunga. The teams will consist of four-aside, singles being played over 3G holes to-day, and foursomes over 18 holes on Monday morning. The first pair will drive off at 10.15 this morning. Cricket Championships. The Wellington Cricket Association will resume its senior championship competition this afternoon, when the following games will be played :— Wellington v. University, Basin Reserve; Hutt v. Kilbirnie, Basin Reserve; Midland y. Wellington College Old Boys, Kilbirnie Recreation Ground; Petone v. Institute, Petotie Oval. The Wellington Mercantile Cricket League will continue its championship Competitions in all grades this afternoon. The Wellington Ladies’ Cricket Association will hold a representative trial match at Emerson Street Park this afternoon, commencing at 2 o’clock.
