Dogs on Motor-cars

Sir, —-I should like to protest against the habit that some dog owners have of carrying their pets on the running-boards "f motor-cars. Three of the accidents dealt with by the Tail-Waggers’ Club during this week have been due to the nogs falling off running-boards while the car was turning a comer. In addition, the rush of wind is very harmful to the dog’s, eyes, and in my opinion the practice is a very cruel one. It is to be hoped that this protest will have some effect on the more thoughtful owner.—l am, etc.,
