Dangerous Diving Areas
Sir, —On Boxing Day I happened to bo at Day’s Bay, and saw a young man dive from the board built out in the bay. Evidently he ‘understood the water was fairly deep there at the time (actually it was low tide), and he hit the bottom, cutting both his hands on the shells, and was forced to have them stitched up. as I found out later. Surely the authorities could see that something was done with regard to this. I suggest that if a “Danger” notice was erected, or the varying depths of the water indicated, accidents of this sort would be prevented.— I am, etc..
SUGGESTION. Wellington, January 4.
