MISSING BRIDEGROOM

Wedding Guests’ Vain Wait at Church CAR FOUND ABANDONED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Stratford, January 3. There is still no trace of Stanley Thomas Newland, aged 22, who disappeared yesterday from Midhirst while the guests were waiting at the Stratford Presbyterian Church for his wedding ceremony, timed to take place ,at 11 o’clock. An hour before that, he could not be found, and a car was found abandoned in the Beaconsfield Road.. After breakfast Mr. Newland drove to Midhirst, where he remained an hour, but after leaving th? village all trace of him was lost. The police were informed and a thorough search made, without result. Several guests meanwhile arrived at the church, but the bride did not leave home. The minister, the Rev. J. McGregor, on learning the bridegroom was missing, telephoned her, suggesting the wedding be delayed an hour. Later the guests went hoihe.

Mr. Newland is clean shaven. He has blue eyes and brown hair, is about sft. lOin. in height, and of medium build.

A relative of the missing man says it is possible Mr. Newland may have left the province.
