MARLBOROUGH SOUNDS CRUISE
lhe first cruise to be made to New Zealand beauty spots from Wellington this summer will be by the Marama on January 28. Leaving the wharf at 8 p.m., the vessel will anchor in the stream until iVbout 11 o’clock for a dance and to enable the passengers to get to know one another. Next morning should find her before breakfast in Port Hardy the quiet harbour at the northern end of D’Urville Island. Leaving early q u Wednesday morning, she will proceed to the famous Ship Cove. The afternoon will be spent near the head of Queen Charlotte Sound, and next mornin o, the scene will be shifted to Pelorus Sound, where the forenoon will be spent in the beautiful Kenepuru Arm. Ashift will be made in the afternoon to Tennyson Inlet, with its great wealth of native bush, and here the final gala evening of the cruise will be spent. Boating, bathing, fishing, dancing, talkie pictures, deck sports, and other shipboard ■ amusements will all be features of the cruise, with a fancy dreses ball to wind up with. The Marama will arrive hack at Wellington on Friday morning, February 1.
