Ministerial.
The Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, Prime Minister, who has beeu spending the Christinas and New Year holidays with his family at Cheviot, North Canterbury, will return to Wellington next Tuesday. The Hon. J. G. 'Cobbe, Minister of Justice and Defence, returned to Wellington yesterday afternoon from his home in Feilding.
Mr. E. Page, 5.M.,. returned yesterday morning from a visit to the South Island.
Lieutenant A. R. Kennedy, of H.M.S. Laburnum, refuted to Wellington by the boat express yesterday morning. Mr. W. Russel-Wood, of Dunedin, who has been’ staying at Ashburton, was in Wellingto’n yesterday on his way to Auckland and the Bay of Islands, where he is spending a holiday. Sir Charles Clifford, who has been staying in Wellington since his return last week from the north, left for Christchurch by the boat express last night. Mr. 11. E. -Holiday, assistant to the inspector of the Bank of New South Wales in New Zealand, who has been appointed sub-manager in London,’will leave for Sydney by the Mararaa today.
Mr. Donald G. Kennedy, Resident and Lands Commissioner at Funafuti, Ellice Islands, who is at present on furlough in New Zealand, arrived in ■Wellington yesterday after visiting bls parents in Oamaru. He will rejoin, Mrs. Kennedy and their children in ■ Auckland.
