FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.
Unsettled; scattered rain in most districts; cool temperatures.
Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for 24 hours ending at 4 p.m. to-day :— A depression still covers New Zealand, but is now moving eastward, and a fresh one is situated over the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast: Westerly winds at first north of Cook Strait, but south-westerly to southerly soon prevailing generally; force moderate to strong. Seas rather rough to rough in New Zealand waters. Moderate to strong south-westerly Winds, veering again soon to northerlies, in the central and southern portions of the eastern Tasman Sea; seas rather rough. Weather still unsettled, with scattered rain in most districts and thunder in places. Cool temperatures. A temporary improvement, however, gradually setting in.
