Eight-roomed Homestead

Fire on Tuesday evening completely destroyed the eight-roomed single-story homestead of Mr.- G. E. T. Shand, at the head of Blue Duck Valley, 20 miles from Kaikoura. The family escaped in their night attire, and nothing was saved. The insurance ou the property is included in a £4OOO policy in London, Lancashire office, but this also includes coverage on other buildings BOARDERS’ CLOSE CALL ' By Telegraph.—Press Association.
