POLICE SEIZE LIQUOR

On New Year’s Eve, shortly before' 1935 arrived, and while dancing was in progress, the police raided a wellknowm night club at Lyall Bay, and as a sequel a prosecution under the licensing law is expected. It is understood that a party of abouc five constables under Senior-Sergeant D. J. O’Neill, arrived by motor-car at the establishment while a number of men and women w’ere enjoying its amenities, but the people were not interfered with by the police, and their names were not taken. The occupier was interviewed however, and a quantity of liquor was seized and removed.
