MORE WEDDING GIFTS

Duke and Duchess of Kent

London, January 1.

Belated wedding presents from abroad for the Duke and Duchess of Kent continue to arrive. The latest is a set of etchings printed on silk from the Governor of Salzburg. The package is inscribed in German, stating that the pictures are presented “as a memento of the place where you became engaged.”

The Governor, writing in English, describes the engagement as an event which for a long time will echo in the hearts of the people of Salzburg. Nearly 60,000 people have visited the exhibition of presents, the admission fees going to charity.
