The competitions for the association ; events, the Bollock Stars, Association i Ferns and McKenzie Cups, will resume next week. No dates have been arranged f so far. .
North Island Championships. Owing to ill-health Mrs. . A. Crawford has been compelled to relinquish the man agement of the North Island championship, which commences to-day at Wanganui; Mrs. W. R. Mayes has been appointed in her stead. This is by no means the first tournament Mrs. Mayes has managed for the New Zealand Croquet Council, the last one being the North Island championships in 1932. The present tournament promises to be a record one, there being more than 190 entries, Mrs. E. G. Anstis and Mrs. Simpson
(Takaro) will be partners in the doubles at the tournament. The following is the draw: —

Personals. Mr. and Mrs. Laurie (Ngaroma) intend making a trip to Auckland for the New Zealand championships in March.
Alesdames Booeock and Lowery (Wellington) and Airs. Boek (Hutti are all taking part in the North Island tournament at Wanganui commencing to-day. Mrs. Easterbrook Smith (Wellington) is leaving on a visit to Auckland and Helensville and expects to be away about a month. Airs. A. .Ramsay is leaving town on a visit to Ohingaitai, and expects to be away about a fortnight.
