The revenue collected from all sources by the Customs Department in Christchurch in 1934 shows an increase compared with 1933 of £96,569.. lhe comparative figures are: —1934, £1,434,166; 1933, £1,337,597; increase, £96,569. Figures for December are as follow: — Net Customs, £68,242 (£68,825); net beer duty. £7583 (£7482) ; tire duty. '£1043 (£1264): motor-spirit tax. £21,; t)97 (23.166) : meat export levy, £B5 (£l6Ol ; dairy produce levy, £270 (£170); sales fax. £26,851 (£22,201); all sources, £128,869 (£127,933),.
