Mr. Sullivan in Hospital FALL DOWN GRAVEL SLIDE p By Telegraph—Press Association. Carterton, December 31. Mr. D. Sullivan, M.P., Mayor of Christchurch, was admitted to hospital at Featherston late last evening. He was camping along the upper reaches of the Tauherenikau River and yesterday left the camp for a walk in the hills. While crossing a gravel slide he slipped and fell a considerable distance over the stones. He managed to make camp again, suffering great pain, and was later examined by Dr. Berney.
Mr. Sullivan has three ribs broken and muscles torn. .He was taken by ear to the Kelvin private hospital, arriving at midnight after a slow journey.
The latest report is/ that he is doing satisfactorily and should be about in a few days.
